I Kissed a Dog & I Liked It

And I liked it
Taste of her kibble breakfast.
I kissed a dog
Just to try it
Hope my cat doesn’t mind it.
To the tune of Katy Pery’s “I Kissed a Girl,” naturally.

Hey all you awesome pet-petters! I’m back from Greece and boy, is that place cool! My husband and I saw awe-inspiring ruins in Mycenae, ran a footrace in Nemea, ate authentic Greek salads in the busy city of Athens, and relaxed a bit on the beaches in Santorini.
While we were there, we noticed somthing all of these very different areas in Greece have in common–a large amount of stray dogs and cats. Little cats roamed the alleyways and packs of dogs laid out in the sun waiting for the heat to subside.
Now, my first reaction to the overwhelming number of homeless animals was sorrow. All of these poor critters without homes. But, as time went on, I noticed that all of these animals did, infact, have homes. Their homes were the streets and their communities kept them well fed and happy.
All of the animals I saw were were friendly and happy. The cats rubbed our ankles and mewed softly while the dogs greeted us with playful romps and upturned bellies. These were not the strays I sometimes see in the city. These were dogs and cats seemingly content to roam freely.
Anyway, thought I’d share that tought with you …
Dave (Hercules reborn) and I (Aphrodite, of course!) had oodles of fun, but it’s nice to be back in America–where toilet paper goes in the toilet not in the trash (per Santarini.)
xx
Once again, I am using a product as an excuse to display another picture of a redonkulously cute dog. The pup in question is a very happy looking black Frenchie. Look at him! Just look at him! Oh, how he loves the camera. He’s all ready for his close up with a big goofy smile.
By the way, if your interested in the Mod Donut Bed (underneath the redonkulously cute black Frenchie) check it out at Barker & Meowsky. They are a paw firm. Get it? PAW firm!
Ahhhh, good times.
Are dog bikinis totally necessary for swimming fun? Nope. Are they totally necessary for adorable swimming fun? Um, yah!
The weather is getting warmer, so it’s time to breakout the swim gear, and you don’t want Fido to feel left out, right? The Maui Flowers Dog Bikini, found at Glamour Dog, is sure to make a summertime splash at the beach, dog park, or simply on your everyday walks.
Made with a comfortable fit, this suit has secure Velcro closures and a cute, little hole in the bottom, for your little girl’s tail. How cute!
Attention all you mommies and daddies of food hounds. In other words, attention all you lab owners! Do you have a pooch who practically inhales his or her food as soon as you place it in the bowl? No matter what you do you can’t seem to encourage your dog to follow mom’s advice and eat slowly.
Well, we at Pet-Pet have found an answer to this nagging dietary problem. Why not give DogPause a try?
Dog Pause is a dog bowl that is clinically proven to slow down dogs’ eating ahbits to help reduce those common quick-eating problems, like gas, belching, vomiting, gagging, and bloating (which can be very dangerous!).
By dividings the dish into four feeding zones, these bowls are designed to “block” the dog from putting his full snout into the bowl. This slows down the eating pace as your dog needs to use his tongue for each bite. And after your dog finishes each zone, he must re-position himself for the next zone.
How clever, right?!
By the way, your name, DogPause, wasn’t lost on us … Dog Paws … Love it!
